Speaker 1:

Hey friends, thanks for joining the Be In His Purpose podcast, and I want to just start off with a question for you. If you have struggled along in your life with uncertainty or maybe even fear of stepping into, or even really just kind of moving into the thing that you feel God has been calling you to do, if there's some fear or you know you're unsure of exactly where the Lord is calling you, what your purpose is, and you're just kind of taking it day by day. You're just kind of taking it day by day, letting life flow by and do what it is that you're doing now, because that's what the world does. But you know that there's more. You know there's a stirring in your heart that you're being called to step out and do something that you likely wouldn't do yourself. It's not something you can do in your own strength, but yet you know that there's more and you're just not sure what that is or even how to find out what that is. Well, this episode is for you, because I'm going to talk about driving back into, you know, finding your purpose. I think as believers, as followers of Christ, it's really important that we seek this out and make sure that you know our desires and our plans are aligned with God's plans, right? We want to make sure that we're doing God's will and that we're not just doing what it is that we want to do necessarily. So I'm going to talk some about that and so I just want to start us off with just having discussion around this.

Speaker 1:

So, if you don't know me, if you're new to the podcast, my name is Yvonne Paschal. I'm a faith and resilience coach with Be In His Purpose. I'm also a certified Christian life coach and a prophetic voice, and what I enjoy and I'm passionate about not only I'm passionate about prophetic ministry, but I am passionate about helping other women coaching, empowering, encouraging other women. A lot of times the Lord will bring women who have experienced a lot of the same things that I have in my past. So if you've experienced some type of trauma in your past or abuse, I help women really conquer and overcome fear and shift to faith. I help them gain clarity in their calling and walk in their true identity and step into their God-given purpose. So that's what I enjoy doing and that's what I'm passionate about.

Speaker 1:

Again, I want to thank you if you're tuning in today. Before we dive in, I just want to remind you, if you haven't already, if this podcast or any of the episodes have blessed you in any way, I want you to just share this with someone who needs to know about it, who needs a word of encouragement, who relates with what this podcast is about, and if it can help someone, then definitely sharing. Speaker 1:

I have a Finding your Purpose workshop that will be launching on January 31st, friday, 6 pm Eastern time. I'll leave the details in the comments below, but I want you to check that out because I'm inviting you to join this workshop where really we're covering how to gain clarity in your calling, and I cover six keys on how to do that. There's some bonus content also included in there. There's live Q&A. It's a one-hour workshop, all online via Zoom, and right now we've got early bird access to that. It's $50 with the discount code, so you definitely want to get a hold of that. I'll leave the link down below where you can sign up. Save your seat. There are limited spots. I just I want to make sure you know and and get get signed up for that I also. I will leave down below.

Speaker 1:

I have a nighttime prayer guide for women. It's got three guided prayers in there with scripture. This is super helpful, right. Especially, our prayer time is is is really vital, right? We want to be praying to the Lord, we want to be in communion and growing with him, and so this includes, right nighttime, right before bed. There's something about you know, spending time with the Lord, also in a place where you know, right before we lay our heads down, right. So I've got a guide for that and some scripture so that you can meditate on it. You can pray to the Lord, um, if you're not sure what to pray, right, um, check out this prayer guide. It's a free guide and it'll just walk you through, um, leading you in in a prayer, and leave that place and give that place to the Lord, lay your worries, your anxieties down and give him your cares and release your prayer to him with this guide. So I'll leave the link for that, and then there's also a free guide.

Speaker 1:

It's a toolkit. It's actually a confidence building toolkit and this is really helping those that maybe are struggling with some insecurity or fear and or even just their identity, you know, understanding their true identity in Christ. This confidence building toolkit is going to help you greatly. It's got some affirmations 25 different affirmations that you can speak and declare over yourself. There's a prayer, a guided prayer, in there as well, and then there's a self-reflection worksheet and it just has some guided questions to help you reflect and really journal out your thoughts, your prayers, anything like that that you want to during your time with the Lord and during your quiet time. So I want you to grab a hold of those free resources and again invite you to the finding your purpose workshop that will be coming on January 31st. So you'll see that down below. All right, so let's go ahead.

Speaker 1:

And you know, going back to what I was speaking of in the beginning, how I wanted to talk about more about finding your purpose, and I know that many of us struggle with this. I mean, I know this because I myself have struggled with this in my journey, in my life story and when I was not walking with the Lord and wasn't really clear of who I was and why I was here and really didn't really know my true identity, let alone did I know and was you know I wasn't walking with the Lord at all. So, um, there was a lot of confusion, there was a lot of doubt, there was a lot of insecurity that I struggled with Um not really having or accepting a father figure in my life. Um played a pivotal role in this Um, but later, right when I did find the Lord and I began walking with him and growing a relationship with the Lord, I now see, right that I have a father figure in my life. I have my heavenly father. Even though he's not like physically here, he is with me. We know that from the word. His presence is with us always and so once I was able to find my true identity and actually claim who my father is, my heavenly father, that became enough for me, and I know that it can be the same for you if you are struggling because maybe you didn't have a father in your life, or maybe you had one technically, but you know it wasn't a full-blown relationship like you wanted it to be or you were just not accepting of the relationship. Vice versa. I want you to know that there is a father in heaven who is your father, and so, if all we have is him, we have enough.

Speaker 1:

But I know there's many that probably struggle with just being able to understand. How do I know what to do? Um, you might be in a place now where you're at your current you're at, you're at your current job, right, and you're really. Days go by quickly, as you notice, time just seems to fly by and, um, and you're just really, you're just really taking it a day at a time and you're doing the everyday stuff, like you know, getting up, getting ready for work, you know, and going to work, spending probably eight hours of your day or more doing your job, coming home, and you know, maybe grabbing the kids, making dinner, getting ready for bed, and and then you know, the next day it's the same thing, it's on repeat, right, but there's no like in your current job.

Speaker 1:

Maybe there's, it's, it's almost like, yes, it pays well, maybe, maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, but if you're in a good paying job, it pays well, it pays the day out, and um, but you feel like there's just there's something missing. You're not fulfilled, you're not even completely content, uh, with what you're doing and um, and you feel like there's just more. You feel like God is calling you to more. There's just this desire, maybe that he's put in you over time, that maybe he may have said I want you to write a book, I want you to share your testimony, I want you maybe to start that business. Start a business, but you're just not sure what business yet. Or, you know, start that ministry, start something. There's a shift in the atmosphere and you know it. You know it and you feel it and it continues to come up but you're not sure what to do with that. It and it continues to come up, but you're not sure what to do with that. So I want to just kind of share a little bit of my current experience and my experience with that.

Speaker 1:

When the Lord began to tug on my heart to make a shift and he showed me that over a period of time, it was not immediate, it was over a period of time and I talk about this in prior episodes. But you know, prophetic dream interpretation, learning that God speaks to us in our dreams and then just beginning to learn about how to interpret that, because I knew the Lord was speaking to me and I knew he was showing me these things in my dreams, and there was a time where I began to write them down. There was a time when I began to get training in how to interpret, to get training in how to interpret Um, there was a time when I began just learning different things within the prophetic um arena and um, and just once I had some of that knowledge and information, um, I began to seek the Lord and the Holy Spirit and being able to interpret, like my own dreams. And there are dreams that you're not going to be able to interpret because it's not the Lord's time for it, but there are those that you know the Holy Spirit will reveal what they may mean, and if you've got a good idea of what the dreams mean, you definitely want to take hold of that. And so this is just part of seeking the Lord, seeking him out, seeking the mysteries of God, seeking what he has to say, god seeking what he has to say.

Speaker 1:

And so, through that time of seeking him out and seeking him and learning and being able to interpret dreams, I was seeing a pattern in my own dream life of just different things, different symbols that were pointing to me doing something different. They were pointing to coaching or helping, encouraging women and women who have a similar story like mine um, using you know my prophetic gift in some way, um, and leaving you know my job and um, stepping into this new thing, um, so the Lord began to kind of, over time, show me that through dreams. And so he was speaking in those dreams to show me what, what would come, what would come to pass, and just kind of what would play out. And really it was an act of obedience to then, right, not only seek it out, but then to walk it out, um, and so once I understood and what the Lord was saying then, then then those desires just continued to come up of like, just continued to come up of like, okay, you know what the Lord is showing you. Um, he's saying, right, like this is this is, this is this is what's going to happen.

Speaker 1:

Um, and at the time it just it didn't make any sense. I was just like, okay, lord, I'm, you know, I'm at a job where it's a well-paid job, like, I've worked my way to where I am and I'm pretty good at it, and even that was something the Lord put on my heart to do. So it was not. I enjoyed what I did, I enjoyed working with who I worked with, and so for him to continue to bring up that, I would leave that. I would let that go to step into what he was calling me into next. I didn't understand that and it didn't make sense. It was definitely a leap of faith, it was definitely a risk and many don't understand. So that's also another side of it where you know, when you are acting out in obedience and walking the thing out with the Lord for his purposes, it's not going to make sense. It's not something you can do on your own. It is by him alone and others are not going to understand, many will not understand, and so we have to be okay with that. We have to be okay with really just being bold and saying, look, I'm going to do this, whether you understand it, I know God's put it on my heart, so I got to do it. I got to do it.

Speaker 1:

There's a sense of urgency also when we think about you know, know tomorrow isn't promised when we think about what we know the bible tells us of jesus's return and, like I think, if we can just stay focused on the assignment, the purpose, what the Bible tells us, the purpose. You know why we are here. What is to come? This life is fleeting and it is. You know it's. It will be gone. We are eternal beings, our spirit are eternal beings, so we will live on for eternity. And so when we just start really thinking about that, then it creates a sense of urgency in us to like, okay, my time isn't done because I'm still here on this earth, and if I'm not in the thing that God wants me to be in, then I'm not able to do the thing that he's actually purposed me to do while I'm here. And so we've just got to come to that place of Lord. We don't know when you will return and time is ticking um, and there really isn't much time and um, and we just gotta do it. If, if god is calling you to do something, you gotta begin taking steps, it's. We've got to have a sense of urgency to step out and do take a step.

Speaker 1:

Again, you're not going to have all of the answers. That's pretty common when we're walking with the Lord. We're not going to have all the answers. It's about seeking him out. It's about seeking him in prayer, in the word and relationship. Over time, you will get pieces of what it is that you need to do and trust and, um, it's really an act. It's an act of faith, um, and trusting the Lord and um, and so that'll come over a period of time, but you've got to take a step, and so he'll give you just enough to where you know that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, this is what I need to be doing. You could be taking a course. You could be learning a piece of information that you're going to need to be able to do what it is he's calling you to do. Like, those kinds of things are part of the preparation, so that's always good to that you could be doing. And then, right, if he's calling you to write a book, for example, definitely get some, some knowledge in you of how to do that. Right, start learning YouTube is a great resource of lots of free content out there of how to do that. Learn it and then, once you've got that down, right, that's, that's a step in itself.

Speaker 1:

Then, once you have that, you know, start probably praying about, like Lord, what is it that you want me to write about? And he's going to reveal that over time and when he does, okay, you've got an idea of what you might need to write about. Maybe it's about your life, your story. Start, then, writing, get a rough draft, start writing it out. Allow the Lord to work in and through you. We have the Holy Spirit inside of us, so he is working in and through us. So you start there and then take another step and another step.

Speaker 1:

We can't sit around and just do nothing towards it. Yes, we want to be content with where the Lord has us. That is a must. We've got to be content and steward that time well with excellence. There's purpose for wherever you are planted, so no matter if you're not where he wants you yet, where you are now, there is still purpose there. So until that thing is completed and he says, okay, it's now time to go or it's time to do this, you stay until he says, right, until he begins to show you okay, it's time to do something else or to do this.

Speaker 1:

You know, in my own experience, when the Lord was saying, okay, it's time, um, I actually believe that I stayed longer than I was actually supposed to stay and but I did. I did eventually obey and I left and I started being his purpose and I'm walking it out. And I'm still walking this out in faith, trusting that God is going to show me what next, lord, okay, what am I doing here, and a lot of it too, ladies, is just doing the things that you can do while you can do it. Do what you can while you can, and if don't be afraid to make a mistake, because the Lord will show you. If you, if you are, um, right, if I'm doing something within being his purpose that he's like, okay, I didn't really want you to do that. Well, I will know it, because we'll see the fruit of it right. Well, over time, we will see the fruit of what was from him and what is not from him. So, if something is not producing fruit over a period of time and it probably there was no anointing on it, you were just doing your own thing there. Give it time, you will see. And so it's those kinds of things. And two, you'll know God will nudge you, god will redirect you.

Speaker 1:

So we don't want to be afraid to take a step just because we're afraid to fail. Take a step just because we're afraid to fail, that's going back to like being reminded of why we are here and that tomorrow is not promised, and there has to be that sense of urgency to say you know what if I fail, I fail, but I failed because I was being. I wanted to be obedient to the Lord, I wanted to walk and be guided by him and I wanted to do the thing that he called me to do. Because there is somebody on the other end, there is the on the other side of your obedience, right, the recipient of that obedience will glorify God. It will help someone else. That is what it is about glorifying the Lord and helping someone else.

Speaker 1:

So we've got to have that sense of urgency and we cannot be afraid to fail and make a mistake. We're going to make them, but the Lord is gracious, the Lord is merciful and he knows your heart and he knows that you're walking in the direction and he knows you don't have all the answers. He knows you don't know the full path, but you're doing what you can with what you have, and you're doing what you can where you can, and that's what it's all about. So do what you can with what you have where you can, and just allow the Lord to show you, and it's by faith that we are doing this. So I hope that has encouraged someone, uh, or help someone, and just knowing that you have a purpose in your life. But there's, there is purpose where you are as well. I definitely don't want to discredit that. There is purpose with where you are planted now. So we want to steward that. We want to um, we want to serve, to serve well wherever the Lord's planted us, and if you begin to feel that it's time to shift in some way the Lord will make it known.

Speaker 1:

You'll probably start to feel overwhelming. Overwhelming. Workload's going to be a lot. Probably you're just going to feel weighed down. You're probably going to feel over overwhelming amount of stress, um, start to feel discouragement, maybe even some confusion, and just, um, it will. The fulfillment will no longer be there, um, it will be almost like a heavy burden and where you don't find joy in it anymore. The grace is basically lifted off of that A lot of times. That'll give you an understanding of, okay, it's likely that the Lord is probably shifting you and wanting you to move in a different direction.

Speaker 1:

Because, right, when there's a grace on it and there's an anointing on it, it honestly is the opposite of all those things I was saying. Because there is a grace, there is this like, like sense of peace. There is this, um, just like ability that is not your own of being able to do certain tasks and things that you didn't have before. Like there's just, um, there's just this. Like you're you, you will see yourself doing things that you, in your own flesh, could not have done, and you know it's the Lord doing it through you. Like I said, there's peace. There's peace on it, there's a grace on it. You're going to be able to see the fruit over a period of time on that and all of those great things. So you're going to have a joy, you're going to have fulfillment, uh, the desire, and that's just some of the ways you'll know that you're in the grace of the anointing of the thing that God's called you to do, and so, um, that's just one way you can check.

Speaker 1:

I also just want to go into talk about a little bit of the power of prayer and I think that we can sometimes leave that as a secondary action and I really want to talk about the importance of that and the power of it. There's power in our prayer, there's power in when we are communicating with the Lord and speaking with the Lord, and talking with the Lord Just like if it was a, you're talking and having a conversation with a friend, like we want to get to that place where it is. It is just like that. It is just like having a conversation with your best friend. It is just like having a conversation with your best friend and that's really what, where we want to get.

Speaker 1:

Um, and I know, as believers like we're, we're not gonna get it right every time, like we're not perfect. We, we are growing every single day in the Lord and we will not get it right, and but the Lord knows the motives of our heart, like he knows our hearts. So it's really just about, like, how are we growing? How are we bearing fruit? What does that look like? Are we, are we intentional about that? Um, what does that look like? Are we intentional about that? And let us be a people of prayer and going to that first thing, going to God first thing.

Speaker 1:

When we start to feel, you know, let's say, we start to feel anxious, okay, let's take that to God, let's get in prayer and take that to the Lord. If we start to feel fear, let's take that to the Lord. We know that God does not give us a spirit of fear. So not only do we need to be taking that to the Father, but we need to be. You know, the Bible tells us that we need to take our thoughts captive. So we need to, in that moment, take that captive and either we're going to say I'm going to accept this or I'm going to reject this. And if it's not of God we know that from the word it's not of God then we actually have spiritual authority to not accept that. Accept that we can say I reject that, I rebuke that, I rebuke that feeling of fear, that spirit of fear, in Jesus' name, and I command it to leave.

Speaker 1:

In Jesus' mighty name, we have a spiritual authority and, man, when I understood and was able to grasp this, some things began to shift in my life. And it's powerful. The Lord gives us this ability, this spiritual authority, this power that is of him to be able to do the things that we cannot do in the natural. It is a supernatural thing and we can tap into it and there's power behind it. And so I want us to be a people of and practice this and make this a regular part of our life, part of our life, and know and claim that we have the spiritual authority to come against anything that the enemy might throw at us, anything that may come to us in the day, in the night. We have it, we have been given the authority. We have Christ living on the inside of us. The Holy Spirit dwells within us. So we have this and we can use it. And we need to know how to use it and when to use it.

Speaker 1:

And, man, we are going to be just a people of powerful boldness, with the Lord and glorifying the Lord in and through it, and we can come against the spiritual warfare. We can come against these attacks that are happening of what the enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy. He wants us to be discouraged, he wants us to live in fear. He wants us to live on the other side of what God has called us to be Okay, and so we need to take this, we need to take our stand and stand up against the enemy, and, knowing how to do that, we've got to practice our spiritual authority and come against that, in Jesus name. So I just want to leave us with that thought and I think in a future episode just kind of talk more about that. I think that'll be helpful, that'll be helpful. But I just want to leave us now in a word of prayer and just kind of feel like led to do that right now.

Speaker 1:

So, father, thank you for just all that are listening, all that will listen maybe down the road, all that are tuning in to this podcast, and just to get a word from you, father, it is not me, it is you speaking through me, giving me the words to speak, and so I just pray for whoever is listening on the other end, father, that you help them to know that you are with them. Help them to know and feel your presence there with them even now. Help them to know that they are loved, that they are cherished, that they are adored, that you see them as your image. You made us in the image of you, god, and so we're just so thankful that we have a God, a heavenly father, who is over us and who loves us so much and who cares for every need and everything that we will ever need, and that you're just such a good father, and so we just thank you for your love. We thank you for your grace, your mercy, we thank you how you are leading us and guiding us and directing our steps, father.

Speaker 1:

I just pray that you lead your people, lord. You lead these women who know that there is more that you have for them. And, father, I pray against anything that the enemy may wanna come and disturb or discourage or distract them from, but that they step into with boldness, into the thing that you have called them to. And I pray that you help them to know that in them lives the Holy Spirit. In them they have your presence, and so they have enough right now to be able to take a step of faith in you and trust that you have their best in mind. You have, on the other side of their obedience, god blessing, and it will bring you just glory, father. It is going to help someone. It is going to bring miracles, god. It is going to bring breakthrough for not only them, but for someone else.

Speaker 1:

And so, father, I pray that you give us a sense of urgency today and the rest of our days. Lord, we don't know when you will return and we don't know if tomorrow is even promised. So, father, I just pray for a sense of urgency in your people today, that you give us a boldness, that you give us the words to speak to someone today, that we be a blessing to someone today and that you give us all that we need to be able to walk this out today and for whatever your will has for us as we move forward in obedience. I thank you and we love you and we give you all the praise in Jesus' mighty name. Amen and amen. So if this episode blessed you, I'd love to hear from you. I want you to just leave a review and share this podcast with a friend, but I definitely I want to thank you for spending this time with me today and keep seeking God, trusting his voice and stepping boldly into the purpose that he has for you. Thank you.
