Speaker 1:

Hey friend, thanks for tuning in today. So today's question is what do I do when I'm faced with a good opportunity? And you know, but I'm called to do this thing over here? How do I know whether to take this good opportunity or to just, you know, stick to with what I am doing? Currently, the question really is it's like do we do we shift at any given good opportunity that comes before us? How do we handle that? And so, if you're stuck and you're faced with a situation like that currently or maybe you've faced it in the past, this is also good for those that will face it probably in our future, when we talk about anointing versus opportunity. So if you are that person where you're just, you're unsure and you know you've been faced with this situation, I want you to stay tuned to this episode, because that is exactly what we're going to be talking about today. And at the end I'm going to share just something that the Lord has really put on my heart. Just, I want to say, just within the last couple of months, I've just been really it's stuck with me, and I feel like this is a good place and platform to kind of speak this truth and to just speak this word out. So stay tuned. Thank you for tuning in with me today.

Speaker 1:

If you're new to the podcast, I want to just introduce myself. My name is Yvonne Paschal. I'm a faith and life purpose coach with Be In His Purpose. I'm also a certified Christian life coach, holy Spirit-led coach and a prophetic voice, and what I enjoy and I'm passionate about not only passionate about the prophetic, but I'm also passionate about helping other women and coaching, empowering, encouraging them to step into their God given purpose. So grab your Bibles, your journal, your coffee, whatever it is that you need right now to tune in for the little time that we have and just soak this in. Have the Holy Spirit lead you into what he may be saying to you today from this message. So let's get started.

Speaker 1:

So if you tuned in at the beginning of the podcast I mentioned, this is the topic of anointing versus opportunity, and how do we know what to do when we're faced with that? Right, I'm talking about when we are faced with a good opportunity. Okay, what do we do in those moments? What do we do in those times when we're faced with this great opportunity over here? And I mean, it's one of those that you know you could. There's nothing wrong with it at all, like it's, even, you know it's a righteous path, it's a good path, right it's, there's nothing wrong with it in that sense. Okay, so you're faced with that and, right, the Lord has you in a season right now, he has you in a place currently.

Speaker 1:

So what do we do in those situations when we're faced with that? Because you know what we are going to be faced with opportunities at any given time, and we could say, oh, that's an open door, right, god's opening that for me and I'm going to step right into it. Okay, and you know, there are times where we yes, we do want to do that, but I think it's important that we draw back and come back to the place of okay, is this even the thing that God is having me do? Right, have I sought the Lord in prayer for this? First of all, have I sought the Lord in prayer to make sure, right, that I'm not leaving the place where I'm supposed to be just because there's this open door, good opportunity over here? Okay, we've got to be careful that we're not making moves when the Lord hasn't called us to make moves.

Speaker 1:

So, right, we can have this great opportunity, but that's all that it would be. It's a great opportunity. There's no anointing on it, there's no grace on it. So we know God's not in that thing. Yes, it's all great and stuff, but there's a difference between opportunity and anointing. So I would rather right, I would rather us step into the thing that is anointed by God, that has the grace of God and the hand of God on it, and I can then be led by the Lord. He will guide me through that process once I step into it, rather than me stepping into this great opportunity that, yes, on the outside and the inside it looks great, but if God's not in that thing, then we will walk it out in our own strength.

Speaker 1:

We will be striving, grinding, probably get stressed out because there's no grace on it. We will be doing all the work and God never called us to do the thing. So now we're overwhelmed, we're stressed out, we're anxious. You know we're getting burned out. We're stressed out, we're anxious. You know we're getting burned out, we're. All of these different feelings and emotions and stressors are going to come in and we're wondering, like, well, what happened? What happened? It's likely due to the fact that, again, there's no grace on it. God's not in the thing. Again, there's no grace on it. God's not in the thing. We have to know and we need to seek out whether or not God's called us to do that and whether we should step into that, because we don't always step into open opportunities. Not every opportunity is from the Lord is from the Lord, okay, so we have to recognize that.

Speaker 1:

Another point that I wanted to throw out here is like we need to embrace our uniqueness, our unique calling on this earth, and you know, especially as believers and followers of Christ, we are going to be faced with all sorts of you know what the world may be doing and you know this person on social, this person in the marketplace, this person you know over here in this career, and you know this person over here getting some schooling to get a degree and, like everybody has, you know their own uniqueness and purpose behind their life that God created them for. We need to embrace our unique calling and so if that looks different than what others are doing, we can't be afraid of that. We can't be fearful of that. We can't start comparing ourselves against others like that, because what this person over here may be doing, they may be called to do it and God's given them a grace for it. But we have our own grace, we have our own anointing and we have our own calling that we need to step into if we're not already in it.

Speaker 1:

And so we need to embrace our uniqueness and that what I'm doing may not look like what you're doing and how I do it, because the Lord has led me to do something is not going to look the way that you're going to do it, going to look the way that you're going to do it. So we just need to, we need to embrace that and walk in our own calling. And just because there are so many voices out there speaking of, like, okay, if you do it this way, this way works, because it worked for me. So like, this is what you need to do it this way. Or you know, this is how you need to. You need to step into this career right and get a degree, because right, like, if you don't, you're not going to be able to succeed in life, like all these different things that let's take, let's look at the bigger scheme of things here. Like, if God is hand, if God's hand is on the thing, then you can already know and be confident that the thing will work out, it will come to pass, you will see fruit from it. But we've got to stick to what God has called us to do and not be swayed to and fro and tossing in the wind and going from this to that and unsure and just unclear what it is that we're doing. For a long time I was going from this thing to that thing to trying this as a career, trying that and like never finding my true purpose. I was always seeking it out and but trying things, yes, you know, I was definitely trying and seeing what would work, but I was never on God's path, god's alignment. I was never seeking him out to get direction and leading. So Just remember that your unique calling is not going to look like anybody else's and to embrace that, okay.

Speaker 1:

And then the last piece that I wanted to share on here was that we want to be careful with what we see others doing, and this includes, you know, christians. So we just got to be careful that we're not abruptly making decisions, that we're not abruptly being led by people Okay, people Okay and that we are first seeking God. And what is the Lord showing us? What is the Lord putting on our heart. What is the Lord speaking to us about, you know?

Speaker 1:

Do I feel, is, you know, is the holy spirit kind of giving me discernment in this area that, no, this probably isn't the way I should be doing it or handling this business situation, or um, you know, anything like that? Like, we don't want to be led and we don't want to be following just anybody, and even even you know, even Christians, right, I mean, because we are all broken, we are all sinners, right? So this is just to say that we need to be careful of who we're following and we don't want to get into that place where we have been led to do things just because somebody else is doing it, just because they're doing it in their business, just because they're doing it in their workplace, in the marketplace, you know, doesn't mean that we have to do the same. And the other thing I wanted to talk about is I see this a lot in um, in the marketplace, um, where you know what's being directed and advised may not be the direction for everyone.

Speaker 1:

Like, I think that we need to use our own wisdom and discernment as well as seeking out the Lord's guidance when it comes to our decisions in the marketplace. If you're an entrepreneur, you cannot just do what everyone else is doing and just because you're going to see many entrepreneurs handle business, you know, in different ways, and we need to be able to stand up and say, okay, let me use my own wisdom, discernment and judgment here and seek the Lord's guidance, right, I'm thankful that there are others who have gone before me or who are you know, two steps, 10 steps ahead. I'm thankful for that, and I think that there is some leadership and some things that we can gain from people like that in our life, especially mentors. Absolutely, there are some things that we can definitely be led by, but then there are some other things that we need to ask ourselves is this what the Lord would have me do, rather than just up and following and just duplicating and mirroring and mimicking what everybody else is doing?

Speaker 1:

It's not always a wise decision, and I know that I've been faced with that just in my own entrepreneurial journey of you know what is out there and you know and who I am following and who I am gaining knowledge from and what I am going to follow, and then what am I not going to follow? A lot of the times the Lord will give me wisdom and discernment of like, okay, yes, this makes sense. Like, yes, this is good, this is okay, but this over here not so much Okay. So we just need to know, uh, in those moments of, um, you know, just using using wisdom and discernment, and if and if you're unsure, you know that you can pray to God and ask for wisdom, all right, you can pray to the Lord and give him that, and seek out wisdom.

Speaker 1:

Lord, give me wisdom here in this, in my career, in my business, on my journey. Give me wisdom because I'm unsure of whether this is what you would have me do or not. So give me an understanding, god, of whether this is what you would have me do or not. So give me an understanding, god, of what it is that you would have me do in this situation, so that I don't go down the wrong path. Right, I want to do your will, not man's will. I want to do what you have for me, lord, not what man has. So we want to get to that place.

Speaker 1:

I just I feel like it was something that I needed to share here, and just as a, as a word, but also as a reminder that we want to be seeking God's wisdom and discernment on certain decisions. Well, most we want to be seeking the Lord and we just need to be careful of what decisions we make and who we're following through our journey and through stepping into purpose. And you know, whether you're called to write a book, whether you're called to start a business, whether you're called to make a change in your career path, whatever the Lord has called you to do, just you know, definitely, use wisdom and discernment through the choices that you're going to be making in that process and, right, if we do that, we are going to see the fruit of that. We're going to see the Lord's hand upon that. And you know I want to be walking with the Lord and where he's leading, not where I want to go, necessarily and where people are taking me. So I know that you want the same thing as well. So, father, I just pray for us that you guide us along the way in our journey. I pray that you give us the wisdom and discernment to know what is for us and what is not for us, help us to make it clear and give us the revelation that we need to make those decisions today and as we move into the things that you have for us and that you've called us to do. God, I pray that you open doors that are for us and that are anointed by your hand and that you shut doors that are not meant for us, because you know, lord, that we want your will. We want to be walking in the thing that you have for us and not something else that has no grace or anointing on it. So I thank you, father, for your leading, your guidance, your love for us, and I give this all to you in Jesus' mighty name, amen. So a few announcements. I have to my listeners here Some great new additions this season, and one of them is the Women Abiding in the Word YouTube series where I'm reading the scriptures we're starting in the book of Genesis, in the NIV version, and so it's got some great visuals and great soft music and just so that you can soak in, listen into the Word I mean even if, like you're on the go, you can just listen in on the Word and allow the Holy Spirit and God to just reveal to you something maybe that you didn't hear, you know at another time, but that is out right now so you can check that out on YouTube.

Speaker 1:

It's called Women Abiding in the Word and I'll leave that below in the comments. Also, there is a monthly live encouragement sessions that I'll be hosting on my Be In His Purpose Facebook page. So if you're not currently a follower of that page, go ahead and get connected. Go ahead and start following that so you can be tuned into the monthly live encouragement sessions. And that's really going to be a place where I'll be coming in live, sharing a word, sharing whatever the Lord has put on my heart. It could be just inspiration, encouragement, a prophetic word we could be diving into, prophetic dream interpretation, anything the Lord might drop in my heart for the month. I'm just going to be coming on live and sharing that with you. So if you can't tune into that live, don't worry, the session will be recorded and you'll be able to see that and tune into that at your convenience. But the first live session for this month in February is going to be on Monday, february 10th. So that's next Monday, february 10th, at 12 pm Eastern time. Don't miss that and I hope that you get to check that out.

Speaker 1:

Announcement that I have for you is you know, for those that are wanting to maybe step into entrepreneurship they're wanting to step into business, or maybe just you know, use their testimony and share a word. You know, whatever the Lord may have put on your heart to do, I think that you have probably seen and just like you're listening to now, right, this podcast. But there are so many people who are creating podcasts and putting great content out and creating and just like this creative atmosphere of putting the word out or getting a word out. And you know, in whatever niche or area you want to speak about and I myself I listen to you know different podcasts as well. So there is, you know, this is really a great time and a good season.

Speaker 1:

I mean, we have so many people who are just starting new podcasts, but I want to let you know about a great resource and it really helped me when I was first starting out in my own podcast and it's the Podcast Pro University and the owner training that she created for those that are wanting to create a podcast and how to do that, how to get it up and running, how to create it, how to create episodes, and you know the recording aspect, the editing, the launching, the promotion, like she really dives into this course and shows, you know, christian women on how to get that up and running and getting it started and the monetization methods of it as well. So, again, if you're a business owner, this is a great opportunity for you to get your podcast out there for the purposes of getting the word out about your business and what you offer to your clients. So, if you're interested, I'll leave a link below for a code to get access to the Podcast Pro University. I think it would be a great resource and benefit to you to check it out. If you're wanting to get started in learning how to get a a podcast up and running, this is going to be your training. This is going to be the one. If you check out her podcast, again, it's stephanie gasp. If you check out her podcast, I mean, she's probably the top um trainer and business owner when it comes to business and podcasting Like that's your girl right there. So you definitely want to check this out and utilize her training and her resources. So I'll leave that below.

Speaker 1:

Lastly, if you missed out on the Finding your Purpose workshop that was on January 31st, if you happen to have just missed that, I have great news because the Finding your Purpose course will be launching this month, february 2025. I am super excited to get this out there for those that you know just want to do something at their own pace in their own time. But you know, and actually you, you know, get a course side of content. So it will be a course and it will include all of the things that I had in my workshop covering six key points of how to gain clarity in your calling, with some bonus content in there as well, and just it's going to be great. So I do want you to know about that and then I will be, little by little, talking more about that when it does launch, so that you know, but I do want you to, you know, definitely stay tuned for when that does launch.

Speaker 1:

So, again, if this episode has blessed you, I'd love to hear from you. So please leave me a message, a comment. You'd even send me an email. I want you to, if you take some time, to leave a review if it has blessed you as well, and share this podcast with a friend. But I definitely, you know, I do want to say thank you for spending this time with me and listening in. I want you to keep seeking God, keep trusting his voice and step boldly into the purpose that he has uniquely just for you. Be blessed, friends.
